Today, Krampus Company received a presentation by a FIRST LEGO robotic team on recycling and their current Lego Robot Project. This included an in depth discussion on Fairbanks recycling procedures and how their Lego robot was constructed and operated. In December, "Brotherhood of Lego" placed second in a local tournament which qualified them for the Alaska state championship in February. For the competition, the team programmed a robot and generated a creative solution to ocean pollution by developing an app prototype which rewards individuals for recycling. Let's wish the team and our very own SFC Coghill's son Wyatt luck as they prepare to compete and win at the state level!

Join us in congratulating our two newest Senior EOD Badge recipients! As their experiences and knowledge grows, so does their STP, SDAP, and chest candy!

SGT Switzer was pinned by SFC Wolper, who travelled from the lower 48 to share the special moment with his team member from their time at Fort Sill.

SGT Russell earned his badge time in Korea and Fort Liberty and is recognized in full dress. Looking sharp!

Cheers to both of our up and coming NCOs!

Today, 1LT Victor Merriweather and SSG Xavier Diaz were awarded and pinned the coveted Air Assault Badge. Commonly referred to as the hardest 10 days in the Army, 1LT Merriweather and SSG Diaz completed an obstacle course, 6 and 12 mile foot march, and a 2 and 4 mile run. Additionally, they were trained in missions performed by rotary wing aircraft, aircraft safety, aero-medical evac procedures, pathfinder operations, combat assaults, rappelling, and sling-load operations. Their performance shows their dedication to professional development and bettering the 65TH EOD organization!

Edit: added professional photos from our new supply specialist, SGT Tomas!

After three days of land navigation, basic Soldier tasks, foot march, and EOD skills lanes, a winner has emerged! Congratulations to SSG Moulton and SSG Catone for winning the Krampus Company Team of the Year! It was obvious that each competitor left everything they had on the field. Special shout out to SSG Hopson who was designated at the OC of the event and was instrumental in the design, ex*****on, and grading. Looking forward to winning the USARPAC TOY next spring!

Today, SFC Evan Bulger, 3rd PLT PSG, coordinated and executed an engagement with our local Alaska Goldpanners baseball team. Players were able to dress out in the bomb suit, check out some EOD tools, and learn about about the EOD mission! This event was reflective of the company’s and Fort Wainwright connection to the Fairbanks community. Good luck on the final series and we will see you next summer!

The technicians at 65TH really got after it this week with fly away operations.

In conjunction with 1-52 GSAB and 354th CES EOD, the teams recieved a mission brief, rehearsed cold load training, prepared for and flew to a mission 102 miles away, landed in 'contested' territory, and provided EOD support for 34 hours straight without sleep. The teams presevered through stress, fatigue, and complex problems while conducting dismounted operations. Scenarios included medical lanes, tunnels, UAS, UXO, first seen ordnance, and more!

The three organizations came together to create a rigorous training event, and the Krampus Company looks forward to working with these outstanding organizations again. Get some.

Random fact: There is no night in June for these Arctic Warriors, even at 0100, but tunnels are always dark.
