Peerless Technologies Corporation is proud to be the lead sponsor of the 2023 Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton Veterans Build. This year's home is being built in New Carlisle for Navy veteran Len and his family.
Len served aboard the U.S.S. Independence. His family — which includes wife Alicia and children Benjamin (13) and Gabby (11) — live in a cramped 2-bedroom home. The couple has been attending homebuyer classes, along with helping at the Habitat ReStore and Dayton Habitat build sites, according to the organization.
Peerless has supported Habitat for Humanity for years and continuously seeks opportunities to support veterans. In fact, almost a quarter of the company's workforce are veterans. With this particular Habitat build, Peerless saw an opportunity to rally the local defense community to achieve something great. The goal is for this project to be the first of many which provides veterans in the community with the opportunity for homeownership and community support.
"As defense companies, we can be fierce competitors at times," said Peerless President Andrea Kunk. "But, we also understand the importance of teaming and collaboration. Together, we can accomplish more and achieve greater results than any one company could on its own."
