FINAL CEASE AND DESIST NOTICE

TO THE ADMINISTRATORS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND PARTICIPANTS OF:

* Greene County Silly Goose
* Citizens for Fairborn’s Future
* Citizens for Fairborn’s Future Documenting Karen Combs
* Any associated accounts or individuals participating in the conduct described below

This is a formal demand to immediately cease and desist from targeted harassment, intimidation, personal attacks, repeated unwanted conduct, and the publication or circulation of knowingly false factual allegations concerning the undersigned.

The continued behavior being documented is no longer being treated as harmless Facebook drama, political disagreement, or ordinary criticism.

That excuse is over.

There is a clear distinction between legitimate criticism and repeatedly targeting an individual through posts, comments, videos, images, accusations, personal attacks, or coordinated activity intended to embarrass, intimidate, provoke, or damage that person’s reputation.

You are hereby placed on formal notice that continued conduct of that nature will be documented and preserved.

Screenshots, posts, comments, messages, videos, images, account information, dates, times, URLs, and other relevant material may be preserved as evidence. Deleting material after receiving this notice does not change the fact that the material may already have been preserved.

You are specifically directed to cease:

* Repeated personal attacks and targeted harassment;
* Knowingly false factual allegations;
* Threatening or intimidating communications;
* Attempts to provoke unwanted confrontations;
* Encouraging others to target or harass the undersigned;
* Impersonation or deceptive accounts;
* Publication or misuse of private personal information for harassment purposes; and
* Any other conduct directed toward the purpose of intimidating, abusing, or deliberately causing harm to the undersigned.

Let this be perfectly clear: disagreement is not the issue. Criticism is not the issue. Politics is not the issue.

The issue is conduct that crosses the line from protected expression into unlawful or actionable behavior.

You are free to disagree. You are free to criticize. You are free to express your opinions.

You are not being given permission to harass, threaten, intimidate, impersonate, or knowingly publish false factual allegations.

This notice is an opportunity to stop.

Take it.

From this point forward, continued conduct will be handled through appropriate channels rather than through Facebook arguments or public exchanges.

Nothing in this notice waives any rights, claims, remedies, or defenses available under federal, state, or local law. Nothing in this notice should be interpreted as a limitation on the right to seek legal advice, file appropriate complaints, report potentially unlawful conduct, or pursue available civil or criminal remedies where applicable.

This is the final warning.

Stop the targeted conduct.

Stop the harassment.

Stop the personal attacks.

The Facebook games are over.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Over the past several weeks, I have been the target of repeated personal attacks, false accusations, and misinformation.

I reject those claims completely. If anyone has legitimate evidence to support what they are saying, then they should present the facts publicly instead of hiding behind rumors, insults, and personal attacks.

I am not going to stoop to name-calling or attack people’s families and personal lives. I will stand on my record, my actions, and the facts.

To everyone who has supported me and taken the time to look at the facts before judging me—thank you.

I’m moving forward. I’m not backing down, and I will continue standing up for what I believe is right for Fairborn.

Citizens for Fairborn‘s future Editor, Karen Combs ,  There is a much bigger issue here than the accusations being made about Jimmy Baker.

Karen Combs is identified as the editor of Citizens for Fairborn’s Future. With that role comes a reasonable expectation that information presented to the public will be fair, balanced, and objective.

What is concerning is the repeated focus on one individual—Jimmy Baker—and the increasingly personal nature of the commentary directed toward him.

Disagreement is completely legitimate. Personal attacks presented as “accountability” are something else.

The post repeatedly calls Jimmy Baker a liar, questions his character, brings up unrelated personal matters, and portrays his actions in the worst possible light. If there is evidence that Baker violated a specific law, city rule, election requirement, or Facebook policy, then identify the rule and provide the evidence. Calling someone a liar does not establish that a violation occurred.

The address issue

The argument concerning Jimmy Baker’s address also leaves out an important distinction.

The fact that someone’s residential address may appear in public records does not mean that person cannot take steps to protect the public display of that information elsewhere.

Baker is a retired law-enforcement officer. Whether someone agrees with his decision to use a particular address on a social-media page is beside the point. If there is a legitimate concern about the address used on the page, it should be addressed with facts and documentation—not accusations that Baker is deliberately deceiving the public.

The probation issue

The reference to Jimmy Baker being “recently released from probation” is another example of something being presented in the most inflammatory manner possible.

The probation resulted from a municipal case involving a radio being played on Baker’s property. The matter went through the legal process, a judgment was entered, and Baker completed the probation imposed by the court.

Anyone is free to discuss that case. What is misleading is repeatedly presenting the completion of probation as though it establishes dishonesty, corruption, or some serious criminal history. It does not.

The recall

Jimmy Baker has been open about his involvement in the recall effort. He has talked to citizens, collected signatures, and worked to explain the recall process.

Whether someone supports or opposes the recall is a political question. Fairborn voters can make that decision for themselves.

Information was also provided to this page concerning an individual who has been involved in attacking Baker. That information was never meaningfully addressed, while the focus continued to remain on Jimmy Baker.

That raises a legitimate question:

Is Citizens for Fairborn’s Future providing neutral information to Fairborn citizens, or is it becoming a platform for repeatedly targeting one particular person?

Nobody has to agree with Jimmy Baker. Nobody has to support his recall effort or his political ambitions.

But if Karen Combs, as editor, is going to publicly accuse Baker of lying and dishonesty, the standard should be simple:

Show the evidence. Identify the rule. Present the facts. Let the citizens decide.

Fairborn citizens deserve the complete picture—not selective accusations, personal attacks, and one-sided commentary.

If the goal is truly accountability, then accountability should apply equally to everyone.

The issue isn’t whether Jimmy Baker should be above criticism.

He shouldn’t.

The issue is whether Citizens for Fairborn’s Future is applying the same standard to everyone.

Fairborn citizens are capable of recognizing the difference between legitimate criticism and what appears to be a sustained personal campaign against one individual.

A little clarification for Karen Combs and Citizens for Fairborn’s Future:

Apparently, my page and the address listed on it have become a topic of discussion. The address listed is 335 W. 3rd St., Dayton, Ohio, which is the headquarters of the Dayton Police Department.

I am a retired Dayton Police officer, and I have a protected address. I have done absolutely nothing wrong, and I have every right to protect my personal information.

As for Karen Combs, the author of the Citizens for Fairborn’s Future page, my personal address is none of her business. This appears to be nothing more than another attempt to take a personal shot at me because I am running for Fairborn City Council.

If there is an actual issue with something I have done, then address the facts. Otherwise, stop creating controversy where none exists.

I have done nothing wrong, and I’m not going to be intimidated or distracted from my campaign.

What a Great Night at Bluegrass & Brew! 🎶🍻🇺🇸

Wow, what a great turnout tonight! Even though the rain held us down for a little while, Fairborn came together, and in the end, it turned into a great evening.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, approached us, talked with us, and signed the recall petition. I truly appreciate every person who took the time to get involved and make their voice heard.

I also want to give a BIG shout-out to Chris, Kara, and everyone with Parks and Recreation. They do a phenomenal job putting events like Bluegrass & Brew together for our community.

One thing citizens don’t always get to see is what happens behind the scenes. At closing time, everyone went right to work shutting everything down and cleaning up. That hard work often goes unnoticed, but it doesn’t go unappreciated. Thank you to the entire Parks and Recreation team for everything you do for Fairborn!

I was also pleasantly surprised and grateful to see City Manager Mike Gephart and Mayor Dan Kirkpatrick at the event tonight. It’s always good to see our city leaders out in the community.

And to everyone who came out tonight — thank you! Rain or shine, when Fairborn comes together, great things can happen.

FAIRBORN — I’LL SEE YOU AT BLUEGRASS & BREW TONIGHT! 🇺🇸

Bluegrass & Brew festivities begin at 4:00 PM downtown, and I’ll be there with the paperwork for the recall petition concerning Councilwoman Sylvia Chess.

I will not have a booth. I’ll be walking around downtown, so if you’re there and you’re a registered Fairborn voter who has not yet signed, please come up and talk to me. I’ll be happy to explain the petition, the process, and why I believe this is important for our community.

I want to make one thing very clear: This is not a political move for my 2027 campaign. I am doing this as a citizen of Fairborn who cares about the community I have called home for 14 years.

I believe the statements made about Fairborn were serious, damaging, and should be held accountable. I have also raised questions about the allegations made, and I have not been able to find police reports or supporting documentation that substantiate those allegations.

This is bigger than one person or one political party. It is about accountability.

This recall effort is about making sure Fairborn citizens have a voice and that elected officials understand that they are ultimately accountable to the people they represent.

If you’re downtown tonight, come say hello. If you have questions, ask me. If you haven’t signed and want to understand the process, I’ll explain it.

Good morning, Fairborn,

I want everyone to know that I am still out here gathering signatures for the recall process of Sylvia Chess.

The past few weeks have brought extreme heat, and I’ll admit I slowed down—but I’m back out there because I believe this effort is bigger than one person. This is about the future of Fairborn, the voice of our residents, and making sure accountability and transparency matter in our community.

This is history in the making. For the first time ever in Fairborn’s history, citizens are using the recall process to make their voices heard.

I have been asked many times, “Why are you doing this?” The answer is simple: because if citizens don’t stand up and get involved, nothing changes.

I’m asking for your support—not just with a signature, but by having conversations with your neighbors and encouraging people to get involved. Our community belongs to all of us.

I started this journey because I believe in Fairborn, and I will continue until the job is done.

A Lifetime of Service. A Lifetime Invested in Fairborn.

My name is Jimmy Baker, and I’m asking for your support for Fairborn City Council in 2027.

I was born in Springfield, Ohio, in 1965, and my family moved to Fairborn when I was young. I grew up here, attended Fairborn schools, graduated from Fairborn High School, and this community has always been my home.

Throughout my life, I’ve worked hard and gained experience in many areas. I worked in local businesses, earned my Criminal Justice degree from Clark State, and was sponsored by Dave Lykins, who served as Fairborn Fire Battalion Chief and Enon Police Chief, which helped begin my career in law enforcement.

I served with the Enon Police Department, worked for the Clark County Municipal Court as a Bailiff and Intensive Adult Probation Officer, and later became a Dayton Police Officer, where I served the citizens of Dayton until a drunk driver’s actions ended my law enforcement career.

After that, I rebuilt my life by starting businesses, investing in Fairborn, and creating opportunities in our community. I’ve owned businesses, invested in downtown Fairborn, and continued serving residents through my work.

I’m running for City Council because I believe Fairborn deserves leadership that listens, communicates, and puts citizens first.

My priorities are simple:
✅ Transparency
✅ Accountability
✅ Responsible spending
✅ Strong police and fire support
✅ Better roads, sidewalks, and infrastructure
✅ A strong future for Fairborn

I know this is a longer post, but I wanted people to know who I am, where I came from, and why I’m running.

I’m not asking for a title—I’m asking for the opportunity to serve.

Fairborn is my home. I grew up here, I invested here, and I believe in our future.

One issue many residents have been discussing is the proposed 7 Brew Coffee location and the potential traffic impacts it could have on the surrounding area. If you have concerns—or if you support the project—this is the time to speak directly to your elected officials.

This isn’t just about one project. It’s about being involved in the future of Fairborn. If you have concerns about development, traffic, taxes, utility rates, roads, sidewalks, public safety, city spending, or transparency, don’t just discuss it online—come to City Hall and speak at the podium.

Your opinion matters. Your voice matters. The decisions being made today will affect our community for years to come.
