Congratulations to our Supervisor of Safety and Security, Bill Titley, who will be honored Friday! We are grateful for your knowledge and experience!

Barberton City School District is proud to celebrate William R. Titley, Class of 1989, an inductee into the Academic Hall of Fame on September 4!

Titley graduated from the University of Akron with his Bachelors and Masters in Education in 1993 and 1997 respectively. He also graduated from The Ohio State University's Public Safety Leadership Academy in 2018.

He became a Police Officer with the City of Findlay before attending graduate school. After earning his MS in Education, he was hired by the Fairborn Police Department. There, he started the first school resource officer (SRO) program, became a fi****ms and tactics instructor and serviced as an Assaulter, a Sniper and finally a Team Leader on the regional SWAT team for 19 years. He retired as the Operations Sergeant after 27 years in law enforcement.

Some of his accomplishments include being a co-author, State of Ohio Solo Officer Response to Active Threat program, being the first School Safety Director for Fairborn City Schools, and is a two-time recipient of the Medal of Valor from the City of Fairborn, as well as three time employee of the year.

Titley currently lives in Fairborn on a small farm with his wife Regan. He has a son, Grant and daughters, Kaili, Alaina and Madisyn. He currently teaches school safety, active threat mitigation on school buses and crisis management courses nationwide. Additionally, he and his wife run a fi****ms and tactics company for civilians and church security teams on their range.

Happy Sunday Skyhawks! First, thank you to Rob and Mary who work so hard to keep Fairborn High School looking incredible! We truly appreciate your hard work and dedication to the work you do each day! The FHS team is amazing.
We also want to share that you can help the FHS Marching Band and Color Guard on Monday, August 31st all day at City Barbeque! Enjoy your lunch or dinner AND help the band!
