The Fairborn Police Department would like to recognize and give a huge thanks to Rich Renken and Terri Lynn Art Studio And Gallery LLC!
Rich and Terri Lynn volunteered their time and energy over the past few months to completely update our Safety City Buildings. They started from scratch by building and painting brand new structures, and they turned out fantastic! We can't wait for the kids to have a great time over the next couple of weeks, and both Rich and Terri Lynn are to thank for that!

The Fairborn Police Department is warning citizens about an increase in scams involving Bitcoin and cryptocurrency machines (also known as Bitcoin ATMs).

HOW THE SCAM WORKS:
Scammer may contact victims by phone, text, email, or social media and claim to be:
• Law enforcement officers
• Government agencies (IRS, Social Security, Courts)
• Utility companies
• Banks or financial institutions

They often pressure victims to deposit cash into a bitcoin machine to:
• Pay Fines, Fees, or Taxes
• Resolve a Warrant or Legal Issue
• Secure accounts or stop “fraudulent activity”

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Do not share personal or financial information
Hang up immediately if you feel pressured or threatened
Do not deposit money into a Bitcoin machine for someone you do not personally know

WHAT TO DO IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE BEING TARGETED OR HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONTACTED:
- Stop the transaction immediately
- Call the Fairborn Police Department as soon as possible.
- If the scam is in progress, call 911.
Early reporting may help prevent further loss and protect others in our community.

Stay Alert. Stay Informed. Stay Safe.
If it sounds urgent, threatening, or unusual — pause and verify before acting.
Please help your friends and family by sharing this information.

Ofc Collins and Ofc Dixon completed Crisis Intervention Team training today, after going through the 40-hr certification course put on by the Mental Health Recovery Board of Clark, Greene & Madison Counties (MHRB).

CIT training helps our officers better recognize and respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or other behavioral health-related situation. This certification aids our department in the ability to serve Fairborn with compassion, communication, and professionalism.

Great work Ofc Collins and Ofc Dixon!

This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and honor the dedicated professionals who are the calm voice in the chaos.

Every call they answer may come during someone’s worst moment, yet they respond with professionalism, compassion, and unwavering focus. Our Dispatchers serve as the link between the community and the Fairborn Officers in the field, gathering vital information, coordinating emergency responses, and helping to ensure assistance arrives quickly and safely.

Their work is often behind the scenes, but its impact is felt every single day. So this week, we thank each and every one of our Dispatchers; your dedication, skill, and commitment to the Fairborn community do not go unnoticed!
