City of Fairbury Fairbury was laid out on November 10, 1857 by Caleb L. Patton and
Octave Chanute. Fairbury was centered around a depot ground.

Fairbury's population as of the 2010 Census is 3,757.

We tried to wait it out, but it doesn’t look like the weather will be favorable for a pool day today due to the thunder and lighting. The pool will close for the remainder of the day today 6/7. We’ll try again tomorrow!
