The First Sergeant application window is now open. This isn’t just a role—it’s a calling. If you’re ready to lead at the most personal level and make a real impact, now’s the time to step forward.

Diamonds,
You are the chosen few. Not everyone is built for this.

But you were called…chosen to carry the burden and the blessing of leadership at the most personal level.

This is not just a duty, it’s a privilege. To solve real problems for real people. To be the steady voice in chaos. The calm in crisis. The advocate when no one else is listening.

You serve commanders, Airmen, Guardians and families with a heart that doesn’t clock out. Because the mission isn’t just operational…it’s also relational.

On Tuesday, we had the honor of meeting and presenting the Diamond Sharp award to three outstanding Airmen who play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our mission. The fourth was unable to be recognized in person as they have recently deployed.

Congratulations to the winners, we look forward to seeing what you can accomplish next. Thank you for all you do to support Fairchild Air Force Base!

What a stellar way to end the week, Air Mobility Command- Command First Sergeant really pulled out the stops today! It started with Todd Simmons teaching us about taking care of ourselves and our councils as well as how to be strategic leaders with our communication. We learned about the state of Enlisted Development and the way forward, had an excellent briefing on Diversity and Inclusion. Then CMSgt John Alsvig - Air Force First Sergeant Special Duty Manager closed out the week with some exceptional topics, new initiatives, and sharing his thoughts with us!

Thank you to Team Scott for putting this event together and a special congratulations to Team Dover for winning First Sergeant Council of the Year!

Another fantastic day in the books! We learned from experienced diamonds on going back to our previous career fields and being successful. The USAF First Sergeant Academy sent out their best and taught us about future operations, compassion fatigue, and being an empathetic leader. Lastly AFPC teaching us about the Military and Family Readiness Center programming as well as the new Key Support Liaison program. One day left, looking forward to see what Air Mobility Command- Command First Sergeant has in store for us!
