Good info to keep in mind for those of you headed overseas/OCONUS with furry family members! 🐾🦮🐈🐾
✈️🌎🌍🌏 Overseas PCS with Your Pet(s) 🌏🌍🌎✈️
If you and your family have received PCS orders to an overseas destination, please contact Fairchild AFB VTF as soon as possible.
Fairchild VTF works to remain current on all rules and regulations for each country you and your family may PCS to. Some of the most common places Fairchild families travel to are Japan, UK, Germany and Hawaii; these locations are considered OCONUS.
All pets who will be PCSing with your family and to another country will require:
🚦A Microchip (most common is the 15-digit ISO microchip)
🚦Rabies Vaccinations that have not lapsed
🚦** ONLY REQUIRED FOR SPECIFIC COUNTRIES**
FAVN; A blood test looking for vaccine antibodies. Specifically the rabies vaccination. (Please note that this test can take 3-4 weeks to process, and we recommend starting as soon as possible)

We held out as long as we could. Due to expected storms tomorrow. We are taking the event inside. I could not in good conscience put 33 new MSgt selects in a metal can during a possible lightning storm.
Same time, right across the street at the Warrior DFAC. I do advise carpooling, it's right in the middle of Dorm City.

Because of your generosity, we raised just under $35,000. This ensures more than 200 Veterans can enjoy a weekend of golf, good company and delicious food, for free, at the event this August. We know culture does not change through a program, policy, email, or memo…it’s PEOPLE that impact culture.
As a force, if we know that people are our most competitive advantage, we must be willing to prioritize our time…to invest in our people first.
Many of you, and/or your work centers, are currently doing this…organically. For those that do, would love to hear how you are doing this.
For those that don’t, how do we make it part of our battle rhythm…and not a check the block, or forced function?
Airmen’s Time is for every leader, at EVERY level, to get after and own the culture we all want and deserve.
- To connect…in a real way.
- To value others…for who they are.
- To be people oriented…not just task oriented.
- To listen to your fellow Airmen…and let the best ideas win.
- To be there for each other…in good and bad times.
When you help others in this journey called LIFE…I’m convinced they’ll be better people, Airmen, leaders, warfighters, wingmen, spouses, parents, siblings, and friends. It’s the way the world works.
Again, this’ll take all of us. We have work to do. This memo is not meant to “fix” culture. It’s simply intent. Let’s move out together.
Note: One more thing on intent… it is NOT for Airmen’s Time to happen during down time or weekends…that is recovery time….don’t be that leader.
