Paintball Camp Update!
For Thursday, August 5 we are going to meet at the Teen Center. Please drop off between 8:45am and 9:00am and pick up at 12:15pm from the Teen Center. We are really hoping that we will be able to go out to play paintball, but if the air quality conditions prohibit that, we will do another indoor Nerf battle, this time at the School Age Care gym. We will be transporting the kids from the Teen Center to the appropriate location in our program vans. We will make the decision on whether we will be indoors or outdoors as late as possible tomorrow morning, so please send your preteen/teen dressed as if we will be playing paintball outside in a field. This means closed toed shoes, preferably long pants and a long sleeve shirt, or layers that they can take off and on if necessary. And of they will not be going home immediately after camp, please have them bring a change of clothes because they will most likely be dirty. If you have any questions, please call the Teen Center at 509-247-8043. Thank you!
The Clear Lake field trip for Tuesday, August 3rd has been cancelled due to poor air quality. The Teen Center building will be open for normal operations (open recreation) from 1-6pm.

The Great Outdoors Camp wrapped up today with geocaching in Manito Park. It was super hot and spirits were kinda low until…….we found a cache minutes before we had to head back to base!! Success!!!!
Is there anything better to do than swim on a hot day? We don’t think so! So that’s what we did on Day 2 of The Great Outdoors camp. The water at Clear Lake was perfect! And you know it’s a good time when extra children playing at the beach with their families can’t help but join in on the fun.
On Day 3 of The Great Outdoors Camp, the Teen Center kids traveled to Walter’s Fruit Ranch - Green Bluff to pick strawberries and to feed the sheep. The weather was cooler and the scenery was beautiful making for a perfectly fantastic morning! 🍓🐏🐑🍓
Day 4 of The Great Outdoors Camp was truly great!! We went fishing at Clear Lake and caught a combined 23 fish in just 1 1/2 short hours!! The Teen Center kids can’t wait until the next fishing trip! 🌲🎣
Tuesday afternoons (starting June 29th) at the Teen Center will be all building field trips to Clear Lake from 1-6pm.
