Level 3 evacs in place, fire is moving rapidly.

Large brush fire reported at Fishtrap exit off of I90. Lincoln County resources have requested assistance from Spokane County Fire District 3 and Cheney. Fire is heading towards Spokane County. Give emergency vehicles room along I90. structures threatened. Evacuations in progress level 3 evacuations ordered for township of Tyler and area west to the county line. This means Leave Now. I90 shut down in both directions.

AFLCMC is working the initial order and fielding plan. We look forward to working with our F&ES professionals to ensure successful delivery of this critical life safety equipment.

Captain Dave Dinges earned 92nd MSG Cat I Civilian of the Year and Fire inspector Brent Everhart took home the Cat I Civilian of the 4th Qtr. and was the main driver behind winning AMC Fire Emergency Services Fire Prevention program of the year! They will both now compete at the wing level this week. Please congratulate them when you see them in the community.

Kitchen fires are the number one cause of home fires and home injuries in the United States every year, with an average of 471 kitchen fires per day. Home fires caused by cooking peaked at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Over the past five years, cooking was the leading cause of:

• Reported home fires, accounting for 48% of all fires
• Home fire injuries, accounting for 45% of all fire injuries
• Second leading cause of home fire deaths, accounting for 21% of all fire fatalities

All resources have been pulled off the front line due to erratic fire behavior and inability to get an overhead view of fire conditions.

A unified command center will continue to work cooperatively to update fire conditions and notify the community of any changes.
