Want to make a donation? Call and speak with Admin Assistant Melanie to arrange for a firefighter to come by and pick up your contribution.

You can also stop by the Fairdale Roundabout between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM tonight and drop your donation into our firefighters' boots and buckets.

There is no wrong way to donate. Every dollar helps provide critical support and resources for local children with special needs.

Door-to-door collections for the WHAS Crusade for Children begin today at 5:00 PM!

Our volunteers and firefighters will be collecting in the following areas:

📍 Manslick Road (from Palatka to Cristland Road)

If you live along any of these roads, please come out and greet our volunteers, wave to the fire apparatus, and help support this incredible cause that benefits children with special needs throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

THE 73RD WHAS CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN IS HERE!

This weekend, Fairdale Fire is challenging our community to help us surpass last year's incredible total of $39,113.62 raised for the WHAS Crusade for Children!

The generosity of our community has always been outstanding, and once again we are asking you to open your hearts and support this important cause that helps children with special needs throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

There are several ways to donate:

🏠 Door-to-Door Collections
Our volunteers will begin collecting today at 5:00 PM. Each day we will post the areas we will be visiting so you can be ready to greet our firefighters and volunteers.

🚒 Roadside Collections
Our duty crews will be collecting donations in the roundabout, and you may also see us out in front of Kroger on New Cut Road.

📦 Drop Box Donations
A donation drop box has been placed in front of Fire Station 1, located at 10015 Mitchell Hill Road.

📞 Request a Pickup
Call us at (502) 366-0122, and we will arrange for a uniformed firefighter to pick up your donation.

📱 Cashless Giving
No cash? No problem! Simply scan one of the Crusade QR codes to donate electronically. Be sure to include "Fairdale Fire Department" in the comments so we receive credit toward our fundraising goal.

FAIRDALE FIRE CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN COMMUNITY T-SHIRT FUNDRAISER 🎗️
This year's Community Crusade for Children T-Shirt holds special meaning. The shirt logo was designed in memory of Fairdale community member Kaitlyn Hutchins, who recently lost her courageous battle with childhood cancer.
Help us honor Kaitlyn's memory while supporting the Crusade for Children and raising awareness for childhood cancer.
All proceeds benefit the Crusade for Children and help support children and families throughout our community.

REMINDER -- A 5-mile section of I-65 between Jefferson St and I-264 (Watterson Expressway) in Louisville will close at midnight tonight in both directions as part of the I-65 Central Corridor Project. A rolling road closure will begin near that time to shift traffic to the signed detour. Please plan travel accordingly and refer to https://i65centralcorridor.com for more information.

I-65 Central Corridor Project is a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet project to rehabilitate I-65 in Louisville.
