Unleash your inner hero. Dress like a superhero (cape and all!) because reading is the ultimate power-up.

Tuesday: Reading Jogs Your Mind! 🏃‍♀️
Grab your sneakers and leggings. We’re wearing our best workout clothes to show how reading keeps our brains in top shape!

Wednesday: Wild About Reading! 🐆
It’s a jungle in here! Break out your animal prints or safari gear and read a book about an animal today!

Thursday: Reading is Colorful! 🌈
We’re celebrating the diversity of books and authors. Wear rainbow colors to show that we read a variety of books.

Friday: Reading is Cozy! 💤
The best way to end the week? In your pajamas! Snuggle up with a great book and get comfy—you’ve earned it.

Today, we proudly honored our Veterans and their military families! Thank you for your service and sacrifice. 💙🤍❤️
We hosted a special breakfast featuring the incredible talents of the Halley Chorus and instrumental music from the SCHS wind and brass ensembles.
The highlight was watching our Veterans parade around the school as our students lined the halls, waving flags and cheering!

Here at Halley, we are incredibly proud to honor our Veterans and our Military-connected students and families who have served! We have several special events planned for November.

🍳 Annual Veterans Day Breakfast & Parade: Join us on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria for delicious refreshments and a chance to mingle with other military families. Immediately following the breakfast, we will host a Military Parade! Walk through the hallways as our entire school community shows our appreciation. Wear your uniform or military apparel!

Get Ready for Book Character Day!
Mark your calendars! This Friday, October 31st, we're celebrating our love for reading with Book Character Day!

We invite students to come to school dressed as their favorite book character! It's a fantastic chance to bring stories to life and share the magic of literature.

🌟 Important Costume Guidelines 🌟
To make sure everyone has a fun and safe day, please keep these rules in mind when planning costumes:

No masks (Face paint is generally okay!)
No props (This includes wands, weapons, oversized items, etc.)
No blow-up costumes
Costumes must be school-appropriate (Avoid violent, scary, or inappropriate themes.)
