This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the servicemembers who gave their lives in defense of our country.

Here in Fairfax County, we are home to thousands of veterans, Gold Star families, and military families who carry this day in their hearts year-round. Today belongs to them - and to the memory of those they loved and lost.

Whether you spend today at a ceremony, visiting a grave, sharing a meal with neighbors, or simply taking a quiet moment, I hope you’ll join me in honoring the fallen and the families who still feel their absence.

We remember them. We are grateful.

Had a great time touring The Women's Center yesterday—their provision of services ranging from maternal mental healthcare to trauma-informed therapy to domestic violence survivor support are an essential part of our care infrastructure in Fairfax County.

I’m grateful that they now call Providence District home. 💜
