FCPS celebrates the rich diversity and honors the many contributions of immigrants of Caribbean heritage to our nation during the month of June. Caribbean individuals are some of the most ethnically diverse in the world. There are more than 8.5 million individuals in the United States born in the Caribbean or of Caribbean ancestry.

Join us June 1–5 as we celebrate the end of the school year with a week full of fun spirit days!

✨ Monday (6/1): Aesthetic Day – Pick a vibe and dress it! Grunge, Y2K, country, preppy, athletic, retro, and more.

💙 Tuesday (6/2): Mosaic Spirit Wear Day – Wear your Mosaic spirit wear or Mosaic blue.

🌴 Wednesday (6/3): Summer Vacay Day – Dress like your dream summer vacation destination. (No bathing suits or flip-flops.)

🌈 Thursday (6/4): Color Day – Dress in your grade-level color:
• K – White
• 1st – Yellow/Orange
• 2nd – Green
• 3rd – Red
• 4th – Purple/Pink
• 5th – Black
• 6th – Blue

😴 Friday (6/5): PJ Day – Wear your favorite pajamas for our final spirit day! (No slippers.)

Eid Mubarak to all who observe! Eid al-Adha, or the “Feast of Sacrifice,” is the second of two main holidays celebrated in Islam. Muslims believe that Eid al-Adha signifies the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim, known as Abraham in Christianity and Judaism, to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as ordered by Allah. It focuses on sacrifice, the pilgrimage to Mecca and giving to those less fortunate.

Today we honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, the fallen soldiers of American wars.

Congratulations to our 5th Annual Battle of the Books participants and top place finishers! These Mustangs read 10 pre-selected books and then competed in a 100-question Kahoot competition. The top six scores earned prizes - books, of course! Congratulations to these marvelous readers!
