Congratulations to Fairfax High School's () graduating seniors!

Tomorrow's ceremony is 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Fairfax High School (3501 Lion Run). Plan for increased traffic to the high school near Blenheim Boulevard's and Fairfax Boulevard's intersections with Lion Run, particularly from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon as graduates and their families arrive and depart.

Thank you to Daniels Run ES PTA for coordinating such a wonderful event for Teacher Appreciation Week. Our staff certainly felt the love!

To celebrate Earth Month, the Green Team hosted a community clean up day.

Through a partnership with Area2Farm, they learned about vermicomposting. They then spent time pulling weeds, removing invasive plants and building a new storage shed! The day ended with a tree planting with help from the city of Fairfax Urban Forestry.

The Student Leadership Council is raising funds for animal rescue. Stop by the table in the lobby on Wednesday and Thursday morning to purchase a cheer clip and encourage others reach for excellence! Clips are 2 for $1!!

A group of 15 young scientists made their debut at the Science Olympiad tournament last Saturday. It was a proud moment as their perseverance and months of hard work paid off!

Today, our 5th and 6th-grade young scholars took over the Thinkabit Lab, sponsored by Virginia Tech! It was a day filled with "aha!" moments, innovation , and creativity.

From the first line of code to the final reveal, these students stepped into the shoes of real-world engineers. They didn't just learn about technology—they used it to bring their own unique inventions to life!
