Did you know there is no federal or national database that contains demographic information on student veterans? This leads to an under sampling of student veterans and an over sampling of other student groups, often resulting in inaccurate reporting.
Every year, SVA depends on current student veterans and alumni to help us tell their success stories in higher education. The SVA Census is an annual survey collecting this vital demographic data on student veterans and SVA alumni for policy makers, SVA partners, and the public.
SVA use this data to inform their programs and services, inform other veterans' groups and the public, and to support advocacy work on Capitol Hill.
Please help SVA meet the 2020 SVA Census deadline by taking the survey below by tomorrow, October 30.

On June 11, 2020, Federal Circuit Court overturned VA rules regarding end-of-term benefit extensions in Carr vs Wilkie. VA is committed to helping Veterans and their families receive all the education benefits they are entitled to under the law.
VA will pay more benefits because as we will now extend end-of-term benefits beyond 48 months. Prior to to this decision, 48 months was a hard stop and benefits were never extended beyond 48 months. There is limited retroactive application and will only apply to cases decided within one year of date of decision: June 11, 2020.
VA has begun the process of preparing procedures to implement this change that affects the administration of chapter 30 and 33 benefits (including the Fry Scholarship and STEM program benefits).
We’re communicating with schools, students and VSOs to set expectations for this change. Schools and students may also can contact the Education Call Center for assistance at 1-888-442-4551 if they have any questions concerning this issue. For more information, go to https://bddy.me/2G7jMZv.
Apply for and manage the VA benefits and services you’ve earned as a Veteran, Servicemember, or family member—like health care, disability, education, and more.

Ryan Barnett, at his best! For those that know Ryan, it comes as no surprise he is helping the community. He has combined his passion for service with his love of hydroponic farming to create SOME, So others May Eat.
We are super proud of you!
We’ve been up to SOME thing….
Rooted in service, our goal is to minimize the distance between farmer and consumer, and to give to our communities in need, So Others May Eat.
We believe everyone can make an impact by doing WHAT you can, WHEN you can, WHERE you are.
So today, for #GivingTuesday, we chose to give back to the team of first responders at Prince William County Public Safety Communications center in Woodbridge, Virginia!
Their work never stops, so let’s keep them full of good greens!
Thank you to all of our first responders for all that you do to keep us safe.
