Forever GI Bill change went into effect 1 AUG 2020.

Consolidation of Benefit Levels

Eliminates the 40-percent benefit level and expands the 60-percent benefit level under the Post 9/11 GI Bill program. An individual with aggregate service of 90 days but less than six months of active-duty service (excluding entry and skill training) now qualifies at the 50-percent benefit level. An individual with aggregate service of at least six months but less than eighteen months of active-duty service (excluding entry and skill training) now qualifies at the 60-percent benefit level. This removes the 40-percent benefit level. This section took effect August 1, 2020.

Ryan Barnett, at his best! For those that know Ryan, it comes as no surprise he is helping the community. He has combined his passion for service with his love of hydroponic farming to create SOME, So others May Eat.
We are super proud of you!

We’ve been up to SOME thing….

Rooted in service, our goal is to minimize the distance between farmer and consumer, and to give to our communities in need, So Others May Eat.

We believe everyone can make an impact by doing WHAT you can, WHEN you can, WHERE you are.

So today, for #GivingTuesday, we chose to give back to the team of first responders at Prince William County Public Safety Communications center in Woodbridge, Virginia!

Their work never stops, so let’s keep them full of good greens!

Thank you to all of our first responders for all that you do to keep us safe.

One Canvas, One Mission: El Duende Process Painting for Female Veterans - Workhouse Arts Center

ATTENTION FEMALE VETERANS!

Duende can be defined as “a work of art’s mysterious power to deeply move a person.” In this spirit, they are running an 8 week, three hour, adjunctive art therapy group for 6-8 female veterans exploring identity and the authentic self through introspective layering themes of Duende process painting–all illustrated on one canvas.

Participants are seeking increased coping skills, resiliencies and self-esteem through creative expression with visual art processes and materials. The group is FREE for female veterans (active duty, retired, veteran, reservists). No previous art experience necessary and all materials are provided. Service dogs welcome.

*Eligible clients are higher functioning, emotionally stabilized (not in current crisis) and may have a primary psychotherapist. Contact [email protected] for more details and to schedule a pre-group interview by MON FEB 4TH.
