Preservationists will survey Reston this fall and winter as part of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources’ Survey. To begin the survey process, Fairfax County and VDHR are holding a joint public information meeting at Rose Gallery at Reston Community Center Lake Anne on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.

Last week, the Board of Supervisors authorized public hearings on a Zoning Ordinance amendment to lighting regulations. The Planning Commission hearing is scheduled for January 8th, and the BOS hearing is scheduled for February 11th.

The nomination process is open and will run until December 3, 2019. 🚨📑New Adopted Plan Amendments!📑🚨
Yesterday the Board of Supervisors adopted three Comprehensive Plan Amendments: Jackson Property (Dulles Suburban Center Submission), Oakwood Road Senior Housing, and Merrifield Suburban Center Study.

Stay tuned to the BoS Website and Plan Amendment pages for the meeting minutes and adopted text.

The Merrifield Suburban Center Study was adopted along with six follow-on motions pertaining to multimodal transportation opportunities, east-west connectivity across I-495, a transportation funding plan, the formation of a transportation management association for Merrifield, an area-wide schools assessment, and the request to allocate a sum of $700,000 to fund the above follow-on motions.
