Could You Hack Your Brain To Get More Motivated?

The most challenging use of rhetoric? When you try to persuade yourself.

Imagine if a solid one-on-one pep talk between you and a mirror could be as effective as an 8 oz. can of Redbull. Better yet, what if it was MORE effective? Scientists are analyzing the power of self motivation- both it’s strengths and it’s challenges.

Personally, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the results; and, maybe, I’ll do an analysis of my own the next time I’m in front of the mirror.

Volunteers learned to activate a part of the brain linked to motivation when they got feedback from an MRI. It's much more specific than older forms of biofeedback. But could it help change habits?
