A popular lounge chair sold on Amazon has been recalled after a person’s finger was amputated while adjusting it, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The chair poses a pinch-point hazard if a user’s finger is placed in certain areas while it’s being adjusted.

If you’ve purchased a lounge chair from Amazon recently, especially a folding or adjustable model, check recall notices and stop using it until you confirm it’s not part of the affected batch. Stay safe and always follow recall guidance from CPSC and the manufacturer.

The chair was found to pose a hazard if a customer’s finger is placed in a pinch point while adjusting it, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

All week, we’ve been proud to highlight how Attorneys General are stepping up for consumers—and today is the last day of our series.

Day 5 (Final): The Missouri Attorney General has filed suit against crypto ATM operator CoinFlip, alleging it failed to protect consumers from fraud involving its machines and did not clearly disclose its full transaction fees. CoinFlip has denied the allegations and plans to contest the lawsuit.

We’re proud to spotlight AGs across the country who are taking action in emerging areas like crypto to keep consumers informed and protected.

On May 20, the Missouri attorney general (AG) filed suit in Missouri state court against the cryptocurrency ATM operator GPD Holdings LLC, which does

Fairfax County drivers, heads up: a new traffic safety push is hitting the roads this summer.

Fairfax County Police are launching a “Road Shark” campaign June 8–14 to crack down on dangerous driving, including:
• Speeding
• Distracted driving
• Reckless driving
• Loud exhaust violations

The campaign also reinforces Virginia’s Move Over law, requiring drivers to safely change lanes or slow down when approaching stopped emergency or law enforcement vehicles.

Drive smart, slow down, and keep our roads safe for everyone.

Fairfax County police are launching a summer traffic safety push aimed at cracking down on dangerous driving behaviors from how motorists handle the wheel to how loud their vehicles sound.

Fairfax Water is close to making history in our community’s drinking water system.

Fairfax Water announced that it is on track to fully eliminate the last lead pipes in its network by the end of this year — well ahead of the 2027 federal deadline.

Out of more than 290,000 service lines, only 15 lead-based lines remain, all located in the Belle Haven area. These will be removed in the coming months as part of planned water-main replacement projects.

Cleaner, safer infrastructure is on the way, and Fairfax Water’s progress is a major step forward for public health and our community’s future. 💧

"We'll have them replaced by the end of the year," Fairfax Water general manager Jamie Bain Hedges said at a meeting yesterday (Tuesday) between the Fairfax County Board of Superv...

Due to ongoing dry weather, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments has declared a Regional Drought Watch, covering nearly six million residents across DC, Northern VA, and suburban MD, including Fairfax Water customers. While our local water supplies remain stable, voluntary conservation now helps safeguard the system in case dry conditions continue.

Simple ways you can save water:
-Reduce shower length
-Turn off water while brushing teeth, shaving, etc.
-Fix leaks, especially faucets and toilets
-Only run full loads of laundry or dishes
-Sweep, don’t hose, sidewalks and driveways
-Avoid washing your car, or instead use a commercial water-recycling car wash
