We lost another brother that will greatly be missed. Mary, Anna, and Nick our prayers are with you during these trying times, our love from D Company.
Samuel Maggio passed away on October 24, 2021 at the age of 75 in Wheaton, Illinois. Funeral Home Services for Samuel are being provided by Hultgren Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
We were so sorry to be forced to cancel the 2021 reunion, again. Dennis Ashe has for two years put so much work in coordinating and begging for vendors to do us right and maintain our prices. He has made sure everything was ready and online for a successful reunion. And all that, plus running a very successful business.
Put our hands together and say a little prayer that we will all meet again next year and we will not lose any more of our brothers. Please stay safe and I will pray that I will see all of you next year.
Have to see what our favorite D Company couple in Alaska are up to and understand what they do.

Vietnam veterans with illnesses caused by Agent Orange, continue to march into the Vietnam Wall to join their fallen brothers. These men and women will not be remembered as fatalities of the Vietnam War. Their names will not be engraved into the Vietnam Wall...yet they are still victims of the Vietnam War. These veterans have died slow painful deaths BECAUSE of their country and will not be remembered as dying FOR their country. This is truly a gripping photograph of the Vietnam Memorial in Rochester, New York.
HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE REALLY DIED BECAUSE OF THE VIETNAM WAR? THE ANSWER WOULD BE ASTOUNDING!
If you would...please email this to your local Congressman or Senator. It would send a strong message for the families of Vietnam veterans who lost loved ones due to Agent Orange.
Thank you, George "Ben" Norman - As of 5/25/20 this post has been shared over 645,000 times.
*This Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located in Highland Park, Rochester, New York. The bronze figure was carved by Wayne Williams, installed in 1996. The photograph is by Richard Margolis as part of the Rochester Public Art web site. Prints are available from their web site.

D Company, 1st BN 6th INF, 198th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, Vietnam. D Company was formed in February 1968. The company was made up of 50% FNG and 50% experienced soldiers from C Company. From that day on D Company played a key role in the accomplishments of the 1st BN 6th Infantry Regiment. During it’s time in Vietnam it was sited as having over 700 incidents listed in the Americal Division Tactical Operation Centers logs. Each of these incidents is listed and pinpointed on a map on our website. D Company has collected over 2000 pictures from the soldiers that they brought home from Vietnam.
Our website also has 100’s of pictures from the annual reunions since 2011. Again this is all documented on our website and the shutdown of D Company in November 1971. During the company existence in Vietnam, 40 of our brothers did not make it home. These soldiers are listed on our website and are linked to the Virtual Wall.
