👨‍✈️ BC443 – First Arriving Chief
🚑 M403 – Transport Unit

Crews are actively engaged in fireground operations.

Local 2702 extends our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Idaho, and to the families and friends affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

As firefighters, we accept the risks of a dangerous profession in service to others. But this senseless and cowardly act of violence against those in the line of duty adds an unimaginable and unacceptable threat to our calling.

We stand in solidarity with all those grieving during this time, and we reaffirm our commitment to supporting one another through the darkest moments.

🔥 House Fire Response – Oakton Meadows Ct 🔥

The Brothers of Local 2702 were first on the scene in the 3000 block of Oakton Meadows Ct, in Company 34’s district, responding to a house fire alongside our partners in Local 2068. Our members provided automatic aid, working quickly and efficiently to help mitigate the emergency and protect the community.

Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day of reflection, resilience, and freedom.

On June 19, 1865, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom. Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States and stands as a powerful reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality and justice.

Local 2702 stands in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters — past, present, and future — who have helped shape our communities, our profession, and our nation. We recognize the importance of this day, and we commit ourselves to upholding the values of dignity, respect, and unity for all.
