Older Driver Safety Awareness Week
Trail restoration underway!
🚧 Trail restoration is underway along a 3,086-foot section of the South Run Stream Valley Trail between the Burke Lake Dam on Laketree Drive and South Run District Park. The trail will remain open, but there will be disruptions as the contractor moves through the repairs. The work is expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting. The southbound 95 from I-95 near Quantico are officially OPEN!
The wait is almost over! On Dec. 8th, the new 95 Extension access points will open, unlocking a smoother and faster commute for area travelers. 🚗🚙🚌

🍂Fairfax County Government offices are closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24, in observation of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, some facilities are open, and schedules vary.

Join us as approximately 0.5 miles of one northbound lane of Tysons Boulevard is temporarily closed for dedicated pedestrian and bicyclist usage.
McLean and Tysons are continuing to evolve into a multimodal hub for Fairfax County residents with the completion of the Tysons East sidewalk project, celebrated today by Providence Supervisor Dalia Palchik and Supervisor John Foust. The sidewalk is located on the south side of Route 123 from Great Falls Street to Anderson Road and provides 2400 linear feet of a varied width sidewalk that connects people in McLean to the McLean Metrorail station. The shared use path provides access for walkers and bicyclists. Other components of the project include curbs and gutters, crosswalks, curb ramps, storm pipes and structures and a retaining wall.
