of the Fairfax section of Fairfax County. We are represented by Democratic Delegates Eileen Filler-Corn, Dan Helmer, Kathy Tran, Mark Keam, Karrie Delaney, and David Bulova. Our state Senators are Democrats George Barker, Dave Marsden, Chap Petersen, and Dick Saslaw. Our elected members of the US House of Representatives are Democrats Gerry Connolly and Jennifer Wexton. High school students who live in Springfield District attend West Springfield, Lake Braddock, Robinson, Chantilly, Centreville, South County, and Thomas Jefferson High Schools. The Springfield District Democratic Committee (SDDC) is a magisterial district committee within the Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC). Our mission is to elect Democrats to public office. SDDC, as part of FCDC, is part of the Fairfax County arm of the Democratic Party of Virginia and serves to help promote the principles of the Democratic Party and elect Democratic Candidates to offices at the County, State and National level. The Springfield District Democratic Committee provides to FCDC the volunteer organization and activities necessary to elect Democratic candidates. The Springfield District Democratic Committee is responsible for the grassroots operations of the Democratic Party in the Springfield Magisterial District of Fairfax County, Virginia. We are committed to electing Democrats and increasing participation in the Democratic Party. Springfield District encompasses Fairfax Station, Clifton, and parts of Burke, West Springfield, and Fairfax. Our 29 precincts run from West Springfield High School in the East, to Silverbrook Elementary School in the South, to Clifton and Centreville High School in the West, and across Route 66 all the way to Route 50 in the North. The District runs all the way to the Occoquan River in the South and West, and includes the Fairfax County Government Center and Fair Oaks Shopping Center. The Springfield Magisterial District consists of about 123,000 residents and about 82,000 registered voters.
