NSA Northern Virginia The NSA has more than 125 local support group chapters all over the United States.

The purpose of local chapters is to provide connections and support for people who stutter and their families. The Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Stuttering Association is an adult (18 and over) self-help group for people who stutter, family members, speech-language pathologists, and others who are interested in learning more about stuttering. NSA support groups provide attendees with t

he opportunity to share fears, frustrations, and triumphs; practice therapeutic techniques to help control stuttering in a safe and supportive environment; engage in speaking experiences they might shy away from in their daily lives; and, perhaps most importantly, assist others in achieving these goals.

The NSA’s motto is “If you stutter, you are not alone,” That's what the Northern Virginia NSA Chapter is all about.

The meeting provides a safe environment to meet other people who stutter, discuss issues that we face as stutterers, practice speaking in a comfortable environment, explore new ways to cope and manage stuttering, and build self-confidence.

The next meeting of the Northern Virginia National Stuttering Association Meeting will be on Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 7:30 pm. We will also be having an informal Holiday Celebration at the meeting - Light refreshments will be served. So please try to attend.

If you're a Federal Employee you've probably heard about the Combined Federal Campaign. When you fill out your donation form, please remember the National Stuttering Association. NSA's CFC designation number is 10853. This is a great way to support a worthwhile group and their efforts on behalf of PWS.
