We normally meet at least twice each month for a social and a business meeting. During campaign season, we offer plenty of opportunities to get involved in grassroots politics. Our socials are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month, and business meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month in the back room of the Greene Turtle in Fairfax. Due to other political events o
r the availability of speakers, meetings might occur on other days. That's why you should sign up for our email list or regularly check our page for upcoming events. Our organization promotes awareness and activism based on the principles of the Republican Party. These principles are stated in the Creed of the Republican Party of Virginia:
That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice
That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society
That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government
That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing constitutional limitations
That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense
That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers, is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation. These principles are the essential philosophy of our Nation’s founding. In promoting awareness and activism, we aim not only to preserve these principles, but to forward them as the basis for meeting the challenges continuously faced by our Nation. Many of us are members of the Fairfax County Republican Committee to which the FAYRs serves as an auxiliary focusing on the 18-40 age group. The FAYRs are chartered with the Young Republican Federation of Virginia which is a part of the Young Republican National Federation.
