It’s no secret that John McLiar is the spearhead of what papers call the “Kevin McCarthy Vengeance Operation.” (Politico, 2/1/24)

Kevin McCarthy’s feelings are hurt, and he’s using his elitist billionaire donor network to puppeteer John McLiar’s campaign.

Bloomberg reports that hedge fund billionaires Ken Griffin and Paul Singer have put a combined $7 million into the super pac supporting John McLiar, with an unprecedented $3 million already spent on ad placement in VA-05. (Bloomberg, 5/2/24)

While Virginia conservatives continue to warn against McLiar’s “unbridled” and “dangerous” political ambition, billionaires and establishment elitists bankroll it with unprecedented amounts of money.

That’s as swampy as it gets.

John McGuire promised voters he'd serve a full term in the Virginia State Senate and support Bob Good for re-election a year ago. What changed?

A week after winning his state Senate bid, McGuire announced he was challenging Bob Good for Congress. This prompted conservatives across Virginia to 'decry' John McGuire and his wasteful bid.

The Amelia County GOP says “He completely promised that he wouldn’t do this, and now people don’t trust him, because he lied. He bold-faced lied to their faces,”...“People are very frustrated. Bob Good is well loved in the 5th District, and it is a waste of time, money and resources at the primary level, when we should be spending it going up against the Democrats in November.”
