Master Police Officer Wade Brabble is representing our agency in this years Mid Atlantic Police Motorcycle Rodeo. The main competition starts at 9am Saturday at 8000 Galleria Drive in Tysons Corner. These motor officers are some of the best riders in the country and it’s truly amazing what they can do on a motorcycle! The weather will be great so go out and support this event that benefits the Special Olympics!

UPDATE-Old Lee Highway is now back open for normal traffic. Fire Department remains on scene in the parking lot.

TRAFFIC DETOUR-There is a traffic detour near the 3200 block of Old Lee Highway due to a fire investigation. Police and Fire units are on scene. Old Lee Highway at Ridge Avenue is closed and traffic from Fairfax Circle southbound is being directed into Old Pickett Road. Updates will be provided when the roads are back open.

Today is Master Police Officer Jeff Morrison’s last day as he retires after 35.5 years of service! MPO Morrison started off as a dispatcher and then transitioned to police officer. MPO Morrison has had assignments such as patrol officer, public information officer, fi****ms instructor, peer support team member and administrative services officer throughout his career. MPO Morrison was the lead officer when it came to police radios, police vehicles and building maintenance to include the fi****ms range. While doing all of his police duties, MPO Morrison also is a volunteer member of the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department. MPO Morrison’s experience and overall job skills will not be easily replaced but we wish him the best on a well deserved retirement!

MISSING AUTISTIC JUVENILE-His name is Emerson Uvin Ibarra Velasquez and has limited verbal communication. He is a 15 year old weighing 240 lbs, wearing purple shirt, green pants tan sandals. Last seen at approximately 3:15 PM getting on a cue bus near Fairfax High School going towards Fairfax Circle after school. Please let us know if you see this juvenile or know of his whereabouts. Thank you in advance!

He is possibly driving a silver or beige Lexus sedan with a Florida license plate. Moos was last seen wearing a green zip-up sweater, khaki pants and tan house slippers.
