‼️ LAST CALL FOR RE*****ON ‼️

Re*****on, a 2 year old shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix ,has been with Fairfax Animal Control for two months now with very little interest.

The shelter is not a permanent solution for any animal, and occasionally, difficult decisions have to be made.

Re*****on is vaccinated, neutered, and is ready for his new home. Re*****on is a big boy, but is a gentle giant who enjoys being pet, scratched, and LOVES to play. Re*****on truly deserves a family of his own.

Re*****on must be adopted or placed with a foster by Friday, June 26.

Yesterday, a new friend, Danielle, with Beyond the Kennel Project, came to visit the adoptable dogs at Fairfax Animal Control. Danielle spent time playing with these pups and took some wonderful photos of them.

We are still 100% full, and adoptions are needed to save lives.

If you have been considering adopting, now is the time! Additional information for each dog can be found with their pictures.

Fairfax Animal Control is over capacity and has several long term dogs needing immediate placement! Without adoptions or fosters, difficult decisions will have to be made. Each one of these dogs have been failed by humans, yet, all they want is love and a second chance.

Re*****on is our longest term dog and is the most urgent. He has been with us for 6 weeks with ZERO interest. The shelter is not a long term solution for any animal, and Re*****on’s time is almost up.

Jamie was found as a stray and nobody ever claimed him. Jamie will be neutered and vaccinated this Thursday, and would love a soft place to land afterwards, rather than to return to the hot shelter.

Coraline has been in and out of the shelter multiple times due to her owner failing to adequately contain her or her puppies. The last time she got out though, her owner never came back for her. Coraline is a very sweet girl and was a great mama. She is a gentle soul and deserves a second chance. Coraline will be spayed and vaccinated on Thursday as well, and would also love a home to return to, rather than the hot shelter.

The last two are older puppies. Both males, playful, and silly. They were picked up as strays, though it is suspected they were dumped.

Each one of these dogs deserve a second chance and would love to be part of your family.

Immediate fosters or adopters are needed! Fairfax Animal Control is at DOUBLE its capacity. Difficult decisions are going to have to be made quickly if nobody steps up to help.

These posts are not made lightly. It’s important to remember that this crisis, as well as every animal related issue impacting the Town of Fairfax is caused due to the irresponsibility of our neighbors.

Keep your pets contained. Spay and neuter your pets. Keep your animals’ vaccines up to date. These are the basic responsibilities for every pet owner. If you need assistance with these necessities, reach out! Help is available!

What is going on, Fairfax? So many dogs at large found in the past three days. The shelter is now at DOUBLE its capacity. Keeping your dogs secured is your responsibility and is the number one way to keep them safe.
