About Jólabland - Many Icelanders living abroad try to keep their Christmas traditions from when they lived in Iceland. This can mean trying to identify foods sold in the United States that most closely match up with those traditionally consumed in the holiday season such as Ora peas. Recipes change too based on what is available and approximations, and Jólabland can be some of the most challenging to get right without Egils Malt and Appelsín. Which brings up the question to Icelanders in America, how do you make your jólabland without using Icelandic ingredients? Let us know your recipes and let’s compare notes.
