Good morning Fairfield!

The canal has been fixed and our wells are to the level we can move to modified watering restrictions. Below is the detailed watering schedule effective immediately until further notice.

Also at this time camp fires and wood fire pits are allowed with a spark arrestor.

If you have any questions, please call the Town Office at 406-467-2510.

The Town Office will be closed Monday, May 25th, in honor of Memorial Day.

Good morning Fairfield!

As the weather warms up and spring is present, we want to get out and start doing things in our yard. Please remember that if you are doing any construction listed below, zoning permits are required. If you are uncertain if you need a zoning permit, please call the office to see if a zoning permit is required. Please note that if you are doing any digging at all you must call 811 before you dig.

Zoning permits can be picked up at the town office or downloaded from the town website @ https://www.townoffairfield.com/ Located on the resource tab then click of forms.

Good morning Fairfield!

Spring clean-up dumpsters will be delivered today and available to IN TOWN residents from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday - Friday and by appointment only on Saturday mornings.

Thank you Jeri Bartow for manning the dumpsters while they are here. We appreciate you!

Good morning Fairfield!

We want to post an update for when the water gets here in the canal.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who is helping in the water conservation at this time. The run time in our wells has dropped significantly which allows our wells to recover when they are not running.

To the following business for their extra effort in conserving water, we appreciate it. Fairfield School, Tubs of Suds, 3 Rivers, Sun River Electric, 7-Electric, Shear Delight and Tumbleweed Bar & Grill.

We will keep you updated as soon as we see the wells are stable.

Good morning Fairfield.

Please take the time to read this article by Zeke Lloyd and Amanda Eggert of Montana Free Press on our water situation. It may help to explain why it is important to conserve water at this time.

We want to thank everyone who is conserving water and doing their part to ensure we have enough water for everyone in town. We can see it in the well run times and when we run the report to see how many gallons of water we bill the residents of Fairfield.

A combination of failing, decades-old infrastructure and a worsening regional drought is straining the water supply of local farmers and residents.

The pool will not be filled or open until the Town is no longer under water restrictions.

Republic Services is having truck trouble and will not be able to finish picking up garbage today. They will be back Thursday morning to finish picking up the garbage they were unable to do today.
