You’re Invited to Celebrate Bike to Work Day on May 28!

Residents are invited to start their morning on their bikes with a National Bike to Work Day Celebration on Thursday, May 28. The community will gather at the Sherman Green Gazebo from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for free coffee and conversation with other area bikers.

Hosted by the Fairfield Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee with the Fairfield Safe Streets Alliance (FSSA), the morning event encourages residents to enjoy biking as a healthy and sustainable form of transportation. Promoting safe streets for all users, including pedestrians, bikers, and drivers, is a key focus of both the Town of Fairfield Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee and FSSA, in coordination with the Safe Streets for All grant-funded survey and Safety Action Plan.

Participants who ride to the Gazebo before heading to their jobs will enjoy:
•Free coffee, courtesy of Sound Coffee
•Complimentary water bottles provided by Trek Bicycle
•Connecting with other cyclists and community safe riding advocates

We hope that the event will inspire more people to consider biking as part of their daily activities. Join us—we’ll see you there!

It’s Healthy and Safe Swimming Week!

Help protect your family and community by keeping kids out of the pool if they’re sick with diarrhea. Just one sick swimmer can contaminate the water and spread illness for weeks.
