This wonderfully wet weather is creating ideal conditions for CAL FIRE controlled pile burning. There are three locations where burning might occur this week. You may see smoke, especially on the ridgeline behind upper Green Valley Road due to steam coming off the wet piles. We've covered dozens of piles in the other two locations to allow for a cleaner burn and less smoke. We were able to cover a couple of piles on the ridgeline but not enough before this winter rain.
