Check this out! Last week our K-8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in Outdoor School. A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Olsen, the Intermountain Christian Camp, and all of the presenters who volunteered their time to host this fun experience. The students got to spend the day rotating through centers that included: Plants & Insects with Carol Reagan, Soils with Cindy Kinder, Forestry with John Pine, Range Plants with Renee Kehler, Wildlife with Fish & Game, and Trapping with Rusty Kramer. To top it off the students got to enjoy a wonderful nature hike and fresh air. Thanks again to everyone who made this experience possible for our students.

Yesterday, our graduating Seniors walked the halls one final time with each holding the hand of a kindergartner, while the entire student body and staff lined the halls and cheered them on! This is a magical and special tradition at Camas County Schools! Congratulations to the graduating Seniors and the incoming first graders! 💙💛

Construction is officially underway at Camas County Schools, beginning with the boys’ and girls’ locker rooms as part of the $2,996,500 awarded to our district through Idaho’s Public School Facilities Cooperative Funding Program.

We are grateful for this opportunity to improve our facilities for current and future students, staff, and community members. As promised, we will continue to share updates and progress photos as construction projects move forward throughout the summer.

Thank you for your continued support of Camas County Schools!

Camas County Schools completed an evacuation drill followed by a parent reunification drill yesterday thanks to our amazing community. The purpose of this drill is to ensure that we can safely reunite students with their parents/guardians in a safe and secure location if our campus is ever deemed unsafe. On behalf of the entire staff at Camas County Schools, we would like to thank Travis Olsen, the Camas County Sheriff's Department, the Camas County Fire Department, Camas County EMS, City of Fairfield's Office, and the Camas County Road and Bridge. Most importantly, we would like to thank all of the parents who participated. This drill is a large scale team effort and each time we complete it, we are able to reflect, debrief and improve it! Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff safe.
