UPDATE: The owner was located and the puppy has been returned home. Thanks again.

This puppy was found roaming Good Neighbors Park all by himself today. He appears to be a lab/ shepherd mix. He is neutered but wasn't wearing a collar and is not chipped. Please contact the Fairfield Police Department at (513) 829-8201 with any information. We need to get him home.

04/02/2020

Beware of scams associated with the COVID-19 virus. I do not believe we have seen any yet, but there have been reports of phone, email, and social media scams related to the virus. Examples are phone calls with fraudulent offers to sell masks, phishing emails or social media contacts asking for donations or asking for bank account information reference stimulus payments, phone calls selling testing kits or protective equipment, fraudulent offers for virus testing in order to obtain Medicare information, and IRS scams related to stimulus payments in order to obtain personal information. Please be cautious and investigate before making a donation or purchase. And as always tell your elderly relatives, never give out personal or banking information over the phone and NO PUBLIC AGENCY OR LEGITIMATE BUSINESS WILL EVER, NEVER EVER, CALL YOU AND DEMAND THAT YOU GO OUT AND BUY PREPAID VISA CARDS, GREEN DOT CARDS, OR I-TUNE CARDS AND GIVE THEM THEM THE NUMBERS OFF THE BACK OF THE CARDS IN EXCHANGE FOR ANYTHING. IT IS A SCAM!!!
Stay safe and we are here for you.

THE CAR AND OCCUPANTS IN THIS CRIME HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED THANKS TO THE RESPONSES FROM THIS POST. THANKS FOR THE HELP.
Fairfield Police are asking for assistance with locating this vehicle and identifying the owner and or driver. A customer went to a dealership on Dixie Hwy to test drive a new car and left her purse on the seat of her old car. The car pictured below pulled in next to the customer's car. The driver exited their vehicle, broke out the window on the customer's car, and stole the purse. The suspect vehicle was displaying a Florida license plate, BWE B44, which is a stolen license plate. If you know any information about this vehicle or its owner, please contact Sgt. Pete Lagemann at 513-896-8246. If you see this license plate on a vehicle while you are out and about please contact the local law enforcement agency. As always, thank you for the assistance.

Just wanted to say officer Wells and his partner we seen tonight are really cool people and very nice officers.
some goofball posted this on Nextdoor. Is there any part of it that's true? Who cares. They’re killing animals and growing in large numbers. Btw for those who say no shooting in the city limits. You are allowed to kill any animal that is in your yard and being a nuisance. Fyi
This company is going door-to-door soliciting in Rolling Hills and was on Bibury at about 1 o'clock. they are supposedly scam artists with advice from the BBB to contact the police if they come to your door which is what I'm doing.
I called the non-emergency line to see the limitations of police response in this city. The dispatcher could not give me a direct response, and the line that I was transferred to did not answer. The dispatcher stated there are limitations but could not tell me what they were. I could not find this information on your website, page, or local news websites.
What was going on at Magie and Pleasant Ave this morning? 🤔

Lew Hollinger, President Fairfield Fraternal Order of Police Associates Lodge 97, recently passed away. Lew was very involved with the community. He taught at Fairfield High School for 30 years; was a volunteer fireman and paramedic with Fairfield Fire Department when it was a volunteer fire department, volunteered with Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, and was very active with Crimestoppers. Lew was the person that preferred to work under the spotlight yet remained very active in his community.
Something has to be done about people speeding through school zones, specifically the high school zone. I just witnessed two cars fly through there going at least 40 miles an hour. No one pays attention to the 20mph limit so please focus on this before a tragedy happens.
Just wanted to say thanks for stepping up on the radar along Pleasant, River and Magie. The speeding around here seems to be on the increase and tired of being tailgated at 5-10 mph over the posted speed.
Many gunshot reports so far? I live just south of the county line off John Gray, sounds like a war zone to the north of me!
City of Fairfield FOPA Lodge 97 with donations from Pet Smart gave 300 stuffed animals to United Way. United Way gives the animals to an orphanage where an animal is given to a child who is in a stressed situation. Each year Lodge 97 selects an organization as their community service program. FOPA Lodge 97 FOPA Lodge 97 members holding some of the stuffed animals; Carole Arend, Toni Roberto, Sharon O'Banion, Marilyn Kaufman, Janice Matiunas, Pat Atkisson, Kathy Contadino, Mary Ann Davis, Anna Seals, Sandra Doyle
Please share! Hey guys! We just had another spotting! Pleasant and Maggie! If you live off Maggie or Pleasant please keep an eye out for Kelsey. She was last spotted running across Pleasant and into someone’s backyard! So please please keep your eyes peeled! Do not chase her or call her she is so shy and skittish. Please contact us at 513-804-8383 with any possible spotting! If you do happen to see her in the your backyard don’t say anything to her and contact us immediately! If you do see her and can take a picture that would be appreciated as well! Thanks so for the continued support and love for Kelsey!
