Thank you to Woodforest National Bank for their generous donation to Shared Harvest Foodbank from their organization's charitable foundation!

This donation will provide 9,600 meals to our neighbors across Butler, Darke, Miami, Preble, and Warren Counties.

These shelves don’t stock themselves! 🥫🍎🥦

There’s a lot of elbow grease that goes into this preparing The Market for our open days. 💪

Before scheduled shopping appointments at The Market, we have a group of dedicated volunteers take our space from drab to fab. ✨ We make sure we have a full variety of delicious and nutritious groceries so our neighbors have the best shopping experience possible!

Interested in lending a helping hand? 🤲 Volunteer shifts for the pantry restock are every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Sign ups are available through VolunteerHub!

Meet the newest member of our team, Jared! Jared is our Volunteer Coordinator who will be working closely with our volunteers to make sure everyone has the information, support, and resources they need to have a great experience while volunteering with us at Shared Harvest Foodbank.

Jared is a big believer that the best work happens when people feel welcomed, appreciated, and part of something bigger. Whether you’ve been volunteering with Shared Harvest for years or you’re brand new to our mission, he’s always happy to answer questions, lend a hand, or point you in the right direction.

A few fun facts about Jared:

📍 He is a Hamilton native and is excited to work closely with his community.
💜 He is a volunteer himself working with many area nonprofits advocating for mental health awareness and su***de prevention. 💙

Last week we bid farewell to one of our beloved staff members, KT, with a proper Shared Harvest send-off party. 🎈🎂 Thank you to everyone who joined to say their goodbyes!

KT worked as the Community Engagement Manager at Shared Harvest for 3 years coordinating volunteer efforts, wrangling corporate groups during the holiday season, scheduling CSFP packing for our seniors, and keeping all volunteer activities afloat.

KT is known by their colorful personality and even more colorful hairstyles. 🌈 They'll be remembered by the way they could brighten a room and make people laugh with their infectious attitude. 💛

KT is onto their next adventure where they will be moving to Canada with their wife! 🇨🇦 You will be severely missed KT, but we are grateful for all the work you have put into supporting our community the past three years.

KT made sure that their cherished volunteers would be set up for success by hiring their successor, Jared. Be sure to stop into the food bank and volunteer to meet our new Volunteer Coordinator! 🤗
