The Explorer Prgram is made up of young adults between 14 (and in high school) and 21 years of age. The goal of this program is to allow a young adult, interested in pursuing a career in firefighting, the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to achieve and meet the minimum requirements to become a firefighter. The requirements to become an explorer is to be between the

age ranges listed above. If in high school you must maintain a 2.0 or higher and not have a criminal history. The explorer is required to purchase their own pair of black work pants and black work boots. If you are struggling to meet one or many of these requirements still feel free to contact us. If in high school you must maintain a 2.0 or higher, not have a criminal history, and maintain a 75% drill attendance. The explorer is required to purchase their own pair of black work pants and black work boots. If you are struggling to meet one or many of these requirements still feel free to contact us.
