* At 319 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Rounds of thunderstorms will occur across the area through tonight. They will be heavy rain producers, with heavy rainfall likely laying out between Highway 30 and Highway 34. Torrential rainfall is expected with 1-3 inches likely and localized swaths of 3 to 5 inches possible. Some severe storms will also be possible, especially tonight with damaging wind.

was located over Pekin, or 11 miles south of Sigourney, moving east
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
