Step into Fairfield’s past with the award-winning Fairfield History Film Series at Fairfield Public Library!

Join us on Friday, May 22nd at 3:30pm in the FPL Meeting Room for a screening of Life Before Fairfield, the first film in this special community history series presented in honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

Presented in partnership with Fair Field Productions, Fairfield Media Center, and the Carnegie Museum, each screening includes a special “making-of” reflection from filmmaker Dick DeAngelis along with local guest insight and commentary.
Free admission. Donations to Fair Field Productions are welcome.

🎉 Check out May's Kid Librarian Emmett! He created a cat themed display and worked through the book selection process. Emmett toured the library and learned how to find books in the non-fiction section.

The Fairfield Public Library’s Read to Recovery resource area has been restocked with new titles focused on addiction recovery, healing, and family support. New additions include Growing Up with Addiction by Tian Dayton, Hopeful Healing by Mackenzie Phillips, and When You Love Someone in Recovery by Caroline Beidler.

These books are free to anyone who needs them—no checkout required. Read to Recovery is supported through proceeds from our ongoing Library Book Sales, helping ensure that meaningful resources remain accessible to our community. 📚💚
