Look who we found! Our first high school Leadership Fairfield graduate. We are so proud of you Lexi!! Keep up the great work!
The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is proud to recognize Alexis “Lexi” Megrath, a senior at Fairfield High School, as one of this year’s Jefferson County Farm Bureau Scholarship recipients. Lexi is the daughter of Paul and Amy Megrath and has demonstrated exceptional academic dedication, strong leadership abilities, and a deep commitment to agriculture and her community throughout her high school career.
Lexi plans to attend Mount Mercy University, where she will major in Marketing. During high school, she was actively involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Dance and Drill, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Marching Band, Concert Band, and Key Club. She has also held several leadership roles, serving as Dance and Drill Captain, Key Club Treasurer, Color Guard Captain, and overseeing FBLA membership.
Agriculture plays an important role in Lexi’s life, as her family owns a multi-generational farm. “Agriculture is so important because not only does it keep family farms going, but it provides jobs and opportunities for people of all ages,” Lexi shared. After completing her college education, Lexi plans to return to Fairfield, a community she has truly enjoyed growing up in. Her goal is to work for the city or the local chamber of commerce, helping to promote and share information about the community. While attending college, Lexi plans to continue dancing at the collegiate level and hopes to return home to coach the high school dance team and teach at a local studio.
The Jefferson County Farm Bureau congratulates Lexi on this achievement and wishes her continued success in her educational pursuits and future career.
