Public Works is offering dust control again this year to those that wish to have it applied on gravel roads adjacent to their property!

If you are interested in this service, please contact Town Hall at (509)283-2414 or [email protected].

Applications will begin towards the end of the month, so please express your interest no later than June 12th. Price is $1.23 per foot with payment required to secure your spot on the service list.

NOTE: Fairfield residents are allowed to privately contract dust control services with a private vendor of their choice anytime they choose, as long as the vendor is supplying a product that meets all Washington State & Spokane County rules and regulations.

We do advise if this is the option you choose to pursue, that you contact our Public Works Department prior to application to ensure that no work that would impede the application is scheduled for that time.

Public Works will not be halting, rescheduling, or otherwise changing work to accommodate those areas where dust control is to be or has been recently applied.

We will provide an update as soon as the bin has been emptied and returned.

All those running for office in the 5th Congressional District Primary Election (August 4th, 2026) will be invited.

Candidates will have two minutes to introduce themselves, followed by questions from the audience. Come and meet the individuals that want to represent YOU in Congress. This will be the person casting their vote to protect our towns and farms, our small businesses, and watching out for our interests in the case of natural disasters or emergencies.

Bring your questions and come meet those seeking office! Ask and see what they believe in and what they have to offer.

This is a non-partisan event and we hope all candidates running for Washington's 5th Congressional District Representative will attend.
