The Solano Explorer Post had the honor of accepting a Commander's Commendation last night. This Commendation was awarded to the Post for their performance at both the California State Explorer Challenge, and at the National Law Enforcement Explorer Conference. Congratulations Explorer Post 365!

Congratulations to the Explorers who represented CHP Explorer Post 365 at the National Explorer competition. Our Explorers took first place in the nation in the scenario "Shoot, Don't Shoot". Our explorers train hard every meeting, and in their daily lives, to learn to use their best judgment in every situation that comes up. Coming in first place is an amazing tribute to the hard work that not only they, but also our Explorer Advisors have put in. Our Advisors show up every meeting and put in the work to help train us to be better. They truly are "Training The Future". Thank you to everyone who has supported us.

We wish a quick and speedy recovery to one of our office's Motor Officers.

On 07/13/2016, at 1:14 PM, a Solano Area CHP Motorcycle Officer was traveling on Interstate 80 eastbound just east of American Canyon Road. The Motorcycle Officer was responding to a pursuit call when the Officer was involved in a solo vehicle traffic collision. The CHP Helicopter was in the area during the pursuit and immediately landed and provided aid to the Officer after eastbound traffic was stopped. The Officer was transported to an emergency medical treatment facility by the CHP helicopter for treatment of injuries. The Officer is undergoing treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The roadway was closed immediately after the collision and reopened at approximately 4:20 PM.
