Solano County's Department of Resource Management is hiring College Interns!!

Current opportunities are available in Resource Management:

The Accounting College Intern will support multiple Accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Journals for accounting entries, reconciliations, reviewing financial data, preparing documentation, and assisting with workflow improvements. Interns will gain hands-on experience with accounting processes and work closely with experienced staff who provide guidance and mentorship.

The Engineering College Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting civil engineering projects within Solano County. Interns will assist Design & Traffic Engineers with AutoCAD and Civil 3D plans, traffic studies, and data analysis. Interns may also assist with engineering calculations, project research, and plan reviews. They will review applicable engineering standards, including the CA MUTCD, AASHTO standards, and the Caltrans Highway Design Manual. This position provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world transportation projects and gain experience in civil engineering design and traffic engineering.

💻 Now Hiring: Information Technology Analyst IV (Cloud Data Engineer)

🚀Who you are:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge in modern data warehouse technologies, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Kimball data modeling, facts and dimensions design, and data engineering practices including Medallion Architecture. They should be skilled in ETL development using SSIS and Azure Data Factory, and proficient in SQL, Python, and R. Strong experience with Power BI, DevOps, Purview, and Dynamics CRM is highly desirable. Preferred certifications include Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure AI Associate, Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solution Architect, DAMA CDMP, and Power BI Data Analyst.

📚What we Require:
Education: Equivalent to an Associate’s degree, preferably in information technology, or a closely related field.

Experience: Depending upon assignment: Five (5) years of experience performing progressively responsible software development, or infrastructure management duties and functions.

Note: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in information technology, management information systems may be substituted for two years of experience.
