This is a constant issue in our town. While this video is not here, it shows the difficulty people have when things block curb cutouts.

These are very complicated and frustrating hurdles that many of us fight.
Are there other internalized ideas that are holding you back from taking better care of yourself

This isn’t bonus parking. It’s not overflow. It’s not “close enough.”
This is accessibility—a loading zone for humans who need space to exist.
“I was only there for a minute” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here… because that one minute can be at the same time someone else needed to get out of their car safely—and now can’t.
Those blue lines aren’t decoration. They’re the difference between access and “guess I’ll just not go in today.”
What you don’t see is the person with a walker or wheelchair—or someone who used most of their energy just getting this far. Not all disabilities are visible.
You don’t see the person who had to leave. Or wait. Or struggle.
You just see a car.
The difference between inconvenience and exclusion
is about two feet of blue paint.
Tiny choices, real impact.
Let’s be the kind of town that makes room for people—literally.

This is in a parking lot — not the street — and it still blocks access.

That curb cut and stretch of sidewalk are there so people using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers can safely move between the parking lot and the building. When a car pulls over it like this, it takes away the only accessible path and forces people to go around — often into traffic.

What looks like “just a quick park” can make it impossible for someone else to get through.

Please take a second to check your parking:
• Don’t block curb cuts or sidewalk paths
• Stay clear of access points, even in parking lots
• Leave room for safe, uninterrupted travel

Accessibility doesn’t stop at the street — it matters everywhere people need to move.

Service dogs - they can be trained in any number of jobs. Access is protected by the ADA. By definition, a service dog ( and sometimes a small horse) must perform a specific task for the handler.
