Since its founding in 1983 by Thomas "Tom" McLendon, Jr., Sunbelt Fire has grown to support the heavy demands of the firefighting industry, and now services a large area of the Southeastern United States. In the beginning, Tom McLendon ran his business out of his home with dedication, hard work, and focus on service and became the E-One dealer for the states of Alabama and Mississippi. Later, with

help from his two sons, Thomas and Slade, Sunbelt Fire grew to cover the territories of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, and the Florida Panhandle offering sales and service in the areas of new fire trucks, fire truck parts, fire equipment, and breathing air. Now, with around 50 team members across five states, Sunbelt Fire delivers superior performance to it's customers while making a distinctive impact on the communities it touches and achieves lasting relationships through dedication and team-work.

When Chevron's emergency response team recognized that its aging rescue truck had reached the end of its service life, the department knew it was time to invest in a vehicle that could better support the safety of its personnel and operations.

For decades, Chevron has trusted Sunbelt Fire through multiple Fire Chiefs, leadership teams, and apparatus projects. That long-standing relationship, built on service, support, and reliability, made Sunbelt Fire a natural partner once again for this important replacement.

Working closely with former Chief Jeremy Floyd, Chief George Knowles, and dedicated committee members throughout the design, inspection, and delivery process, Sunbelt Fire and E-ONE helped bring to life a rescue truck built specifically around the department's operational needs.

The result is a highly versatile rescue apparatus featuring extensive compartment storage, additional roof storage, C-Tech toolboxes for medical, hazmat, and specialized rescue equipment, and rollout awnings that provide shelter for personnel during extended incidents and challenging weather conditions.

Equipped with a 15kW generator, portable lighting, confined-space ventilation capabilities, a Wil-Burt light tower, and a portable 9,000-pound winch that can be utilized at four receiver hitch locations, this apparatus is designed to support a wide range of rescue and recovery operations across Chevron's facility.

One of the most rewarding moments came during the final inspection, where department personnel expressed how pleased they were with the truck's layout, functionality, and exceptional storage capacity. The apparatus not only met their expectations but provided a well-organized platform that will help improve efficiency and emergency response readiness for years to come.

A special thank you to Keith Ward, who worked alongside the department throughout this project, as well as everyone at Chevron who helped bring this truck from concept to reality.

🚒 NEW DELIVERY | Hampton Valley Forge TN Volunteer Fire Department 🚒

Sunbelt Fire is proud to deliver a new Fouts 3,000-Gallon Commercial Tanker to the Hampton Valley Forge TN Volunteer Fire Department!

With an aging fleet and the need to get a new apparatus in service quickly, the department turned to Sunbelt Fire and in just 3 months, they were able to take delivery of a customized 3,000-gallon tanker from Fouts!

The Hampton Valley Forge team was actively involved throughout the build process, working alongside our team to make sure the finished apparatus was right for their department. We’re grateful for the trust they placed in Sunbelt Fire.

Built on a Spartan FC-94 chassis and powered by a Cummins X12 500 HP engine, this demo unit is designed to deliver the performance, capacity and crew-focused features departments need:
