Thursday, 5/21/26 was the last day of school for the 2025-26 school year and a time to treat the students. Lady Paris did so by putting together, as only she can do, a very creative summer beach fairy scene for the students and families to enjoy! After a quick walk through the castle grounds the bus was greeted by castle residents including castle dweller Megrez Rudolf who appeared in her p.j's to show what she will be wearing on Friday mornings for the summer. Everyone gathered around the fairy scene to take in all of the details. Lady Paris was ready for the beach herself and ready to play. We all hope our Walking School Bus families have a delightful summer. See you in the fall.

We had two Walking School Bus events this past week and many things were celebrated. On Wednesday, May 20th the WSB returned to honor the WSB graduating 6th graders and a surprise THANK YOU to Charlene Lee outgoing director. The students were treated to doughnuts the 6th graders heard many accolades and received a certificate. They then got to lead the entire WSB over the bridge. It was a beautiful morning with beautiful people. My next post will be about the surprise for the last day of school.

The end of the 2025-26 school year’s Fairhope Elementary School’s Walking School Bus Castle Walk was a Royal affair (5/15/26). After greeting the traffic many of the Castle Walk cast led the Walking School Bus down the driveway. Greeting Lady Judy and Queen Sally on their way. All were stopped at the footbridge for a Big Announcement. WSB Director Charlene Lee announced her retirement from the director's position and received 3 cheers as a thank you for her many years of fabulous service. She then announced that retiring FWES Coach Cathy Hudson will be the new Walking School Bus Director. Cathy was presented with a special handmade walking stick with a jewel on it since she is a jewel for stepping into the directorship. The WSB was then lead through Mosher Castle. As in previous years there was a large turn out for the event. We look forward to seeing everyone this fall for the Castle Walks of the 2026-2027 school year.

Hi,
I got hacked. I was expecting a wedding invitation and fell for it. If you get an invitation from Pagan Mosher, I didn’t send. Sadly I don’t know who all they emailed the Invite to so I thought I'd post here. I have attached a screenshot so you can see what to avoid.

Sorry, for any inconvenience.

May 1st’s, Walking School Bus's Castle Walk was drizzly but that didn’t stop the castle dwellers from appearing as storybook characters. We had a Queen, Mother Goose, A W***h, A world traveler from the World Atlas book and the Mad Hatter.
It has been announced that Friday May 15th will be the last full Castle Walk and the one with the annual walk through of Mosher Castle. This means that next Friday the 8th will be the last regular Castle Walk of the 2025-26 school year. It will be about Mothers in honor of Mother’s Day. It has been fun school year that has flown by.

Friday’s 4/24/26, Castle Walk was the first one after Spring Break. Loved seeing the WSB families again. It was a goreous morning with colorful Wild Things on the grounds. We are getting into the end of year count down. Next week we will be celebrating book characters. Put on your favorite book character costume or carry your favorite book and come join us. There are only 4 more Castle Walks left of the 2025/26 school year. This one has been FANTASTIC!

This morning was glorious. Perfect weather for walking or biking. Humpty Dumpty made an appearance which caused a group of bicyclist to come by to check him out. Peekaboo and the Castle Walk cast were on hand to greet the colorful WSB. Next week the pubilc schools are on spring break so no Castle Walk. It’s hard to believe that there are only 5 more Castle Walks left before summer break.

Our annual Mosher & McGuire’s Piper’s Concert & Party is always unique and fun but Saturday’s, 3/28/26, was even more special! During the event we dedicated the new tower. The ceremony was done from the top deck of the tower. It was named Hubble Tower after Rodney Hubble whose business Force5 Walls made it possible. The Rev. Thack Dyson graciously blessed the structure and afterwards the piper’s and drummers performed a beautiful and rousing concert. Dinner on the grounds with friends afterwards made for a perfect evening. I was having such a great time I forgot to take many pictures but luckily Jefferson Moore saved the day. He also made a beautiful moving video. There will be 2 posts. One today and the 2nd tomorrow. Enjoy!!!!!
