Shepherd's Place Respite gives spouses, daughters, and sons who are caregivers a morning off, with the peace of mind that their loved one is safe and enjoying an outing as much as they are.

Games, music, art, chair yoga, lunch, and good company — including an exercise and strength class I get to lead once a month. Bill, Jeff, and the group have been pushing me out of my comfort zone here lately!

It's available Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The daily rate is one of the best values you'll find anywhere - around $60 per day - and there are scholarships available.
