Please help me welcome Officer Kenyon Sanders. A graduate of the SWIC Police Academy, he comes to us from the Washington Park, IL Police Department. Officer Sanders was sworn in at last night’s board meeting. With his background in investigating major crimes and being attached to an FBI Task Force, he will be a great addition to the department and community.

K-9 Rico was sworn in at last night’s village board meeting. He is a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois. K-9 Rico was donated to the Fairmont City Police Department by the Ryan Griffin Memorial Foundation and trained by Dowdy Dawgs. He is certified in narcotic detection and criminal apprehension.

It’s that time of year, the Holy Rosary Parish picnic is this Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, 2026. There will be no parking on Cookson Road Friday, June 19, 2026 between 4:00PM and 7:00PM.
