We have chicks! Go check out our live to watch them hatch!

Chickens have a 21 day incubation period. Once the first chick hatches in the incubator, it can live without food or water for up to 72 hours while it waits for its friends to hatch! During that time, it will absorb the remaining egg yolk for nutrients. 🐣

This overachiever may have some patience to practice!

Tonight we will be going LIVE with our chicken incubators! 🐣

Over the last 3 weeks, we’ve supported Fitzsimmons Elementary’s first grade classes in their Embryology Unit (the study of how embryos develop inside an egg).

During this time, students have learned about the parts of an egg, egg candling, and so, so much more.

Now it’s time for everyone to join in on the fun and watch the chicks hatch! We will be live streaming over the entire hatch period from pip to hatch - and maybe a little beyond 😉.
