A volunteer fire department that is made up of ~ 50+ members providing fire protection, rescue, & EMS 1st response services to ~ 20 sq. miles of Perinton

The Egypt Fire Association is made up of approximately 40 volunteer members who reside and/or work in our area of responsibility. We provide both Fire Protection, Rescue and EMS 1st Response services within our response area. This response area covers approximately 20 square miles of the Southeast corner of the Town of Perinton with a population of approximately 10,000 residents. We respond to an

average of 325 alarms per year. We are governed by a group of 12 Trustees who are voted from the current active membership of the department. The day to day activities are divided between the firematic (Line) side of the department and the business (Civil) side of the association. The Line Officers include the Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, 2 Captains and 4 Lieutenants. The Civil Officers include the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Financial Secretary. All of these positions are filled by active members of the association.

Last night, Egypt firefighters sharpened their vehicle extrication skills. From vehicle stabilization to hands-on practice with spreading, cutting and rolling a dash for patient access, we focused on working efficiently and safely as a team.
