The Fairport Central School District recognizes that social media platforms are a primary source of news and information to the public. The District uses social media to communicate, inform and celebrate students, staff and District achievements and to promote transparency. However, the purpose of the District’s official social media channels must be reflected in the prese

ntation and use of those platforms. The District will no longer use social media comment sections to receive feedback from the public, but instead will direct and encourage community members to use alternative methods to connect directly with District officials. As of July 1,2026, community members will no longer be able to leave comments on new posts shared by the official District social media platforms. Here are just some of the ways to connect with District administration and the Board of Education:
- Visit the Board of Education website at fairport.org/boe to contact a Board member
- Email the District at to be directed to the appropriate point of contact
- Contact District Office by phone at (585) 421-2000
- Write to the Board of Education President at 38 West Church Street, Fairport, NY 14450

However, the purpose of the District’s official social media channels must be reflected in the presentation and use of those platforms.

The District will no longer use social media comment sections to receive feedback from the public, but instead will direct and encourage community members to use alternative methods to connect directly with District officials.

Today’s Minerva DeLand Commemoration Ceremony was one to remember! To usher in a new era of Minerva DeLand School, staff members past and present came together for a gathering filled with music, stories, keepsakes and lots of smiles. 😀

Thank you to the Commemoration Committee members who organized this event and to the current and former MD staff who gathered to celebrate the school’s rich history and enduring legacy.

As our ninth grade students prepare for their first year at Fairport High School this fall, the campus at Minerva DeLand will still be full of activity! The District is excited to welcome Monroe One BOCES’ eSTART program to the building, beginning in August.

Facilities like the gymnasium, Large Group Instruction room and music rooms will continue to be used by our Fairport students for extracurricular activities, practices and performances. MD will also house some department directors’ offices and meeting areas. Learn more about the District’s Consolidation Plan at fairport.org/consolidation.
