French Village FD Explorer Post

This evening around 4:50pm French Village Fire was dispatched for a reported two car accident with possible entrapment at the intersection of 157 & Tucker. Engine 2811 and Squad 2810 responded. Companies arrived on scene with one vehicle over turned on its roof. Mutual aid was requested to have Fairview Caseyville Township Fire Protection District respond with man power. Once companies confirmed there was no entrapment Fairview Fire was requested to stand-by. Members assisted Abbott EMS with patient care, traffic control, and cleaned the roadway. Thank you to Caseyville Police Department for their assistance also on scene. Companies returned to service approximately 40 mins later.

This morning at approx 0819 FVFD responded mutual aid to the report of a structure fire in the 100 BLK of N. Long St. with Caseyville Fire Department, crews arrived with light smoke showing from the second floor and worked quickly to bring the fire under control and keep it from spreading. The fire was extinguished and minimal damage was done to the residence. Good work by all. 💥
